Use control + F to find these strings by typing in a bit of the first letters and then change the values between " and " to this resolution.Ĭlick the purple floppy disk at the top and try to run the game. Now you should see two “.exe” files one titled "jk2sp.exe" and "jk2mp.exe" (for JK2) or "jasp.exe" and "jamp.exe" (for JKA) Once you find them there should be a folder titled "Base" in gamedata open that up and find files titled "jaconfig.cfg" for sp and "jampconfig.cfg" for MP open them up both one at a time with wordpad. My only other idea at this point is to buy the game on Steam and see if that works, or reset my PC.Navigate to base folder but first to get to your “gamedata” folder in JK2 and JKA you must go to your steam library, right click Jedi outcast or Jedi academy, then click properties (located in the context menu), now click the tab titled “Local Files” and then click the box titled "browse local files." If you followed these steps correctly you should see a folder pop up titled "Jedi Outcast" or "Jedi Academy" inside that folder there should be another folder titled "Gamedata" open that by selecting the folder and double clicking or select the folder and press enter key. It seems like there is a problem that my PC has with the base game that just appeared last weekend. I installed Jedi Academy via GOG Galaxy app, didn't help. I rolled back the last Windows update but that didn't do anything. I have reinstalled the game and tried to load it without the mod on the PC, but either way it still has the same problem. I deleted all related files that I could find. I uninstalled both MBII and the Jedi Academy base game. No issues with any of the other GOG games I've tried. My drivers and Windows are all 100% up-to-date. I have Windows 10, GOG version of the game. If you just launched the game on Steam or GOG or wherever else you bought this game, chances are you went to find a server to join but the server list is empty. I've been playing MBII for the past year or two consistently and never had any major technical issues, either on my old computer or my new one. Why are there no servers on Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy The server list is empty. No performance issues in any other applications. Jedi Outcast, classic Battlefront II and anything else I've tried. The LucasArts intro and everything else plays through fine, then it freezes just before loading the menu, and continues to freeze, unfreeze for a second, on and on.Īll of my other games play fine/as usual, inc. I also tried to launch just Jedi Academy single player by itself, and it does the same thing. This continues until I have to reboot, as I am unable to move the mouse long enough to select Exit. The menu loads but the freezing pattern continues the same. Fully working Star Wars Lightsabers with a lot of customization options. Imperial Gonk model contains assets created by Alana G. (by me) from the game Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy. It will freeze, unfreeze for a second and then freeze again. This item is not authorized for posting on Steam, except under the Steam account named urlhttps. MBII is freezing up right when the MBII logo comes up prior to the menu appearing. Since last Sunday/Monday, I've been unable to play MBII or Jedi Academy base game as both games will start to freeze at/just before the menu. Haven't been able to find any help online or on my own, so I am coming here!
